I collect almost nothing, and I never sell it or share it for advertising.
I collect the minimum a working relationship needs, and nothing beyond it. The less I hold about you, the less there is to lose. Everything I collect, what it is used for, and how long it is kept is set out below.

What I collect
The contact form collects your name, your company, your email address, and whatever you put in the message. The country your connection comes from is attached automatically. Those fields are the complete list of what you hand me. Nothing is asked for that is not needed to answer you, and if you never write to me, I hold nothing about you at all.
What the form checks before it accepts your message
Three automated checks run when you press send.
The country your connection comes from. I do not take clients in every country. The form reads the country of origin and declines messages from regions I do not serve. It is the country only, nothing more precise, and nothing else about your location.
A hidden field. The form contains a decoy box that is invisible in a browser. Automated spam fills it in; real visitors cannot. A filled decoy means the message is discarded.
A human check, when enabled. If a challenge is switched on to limit automated abuse, confirming you are a person shares your IP address with the security provider running that check, for that moment and that purpose only. It is not used to build a profile, and nothing from that check is added to what I hold about you.
What I use it for
One thing: to read your note and reply to it. If that conversation turns into work, the same details become the beginning of your client record. That only ever happens because you reached out first. I do not build profiles, I do not score or segment anyone, and I will never add you to a mailing list.
I never sell or share it
Your information is not sold, rented, traded, or handed to a marketing partner. There are no marketing partners. It exists so I can do the work you asked about, and it goes nowhere else.
I never name my clients
There is no client list, logo wall, or reference page on this site, and that is deliberate. I do not publish who I work with and I will not confirm to anyone that you are a client. Which businesses depend on a given engineer is not a detail that belongs on the open web. Your name is yours to share; otherwise it stays with me.
Cookies and scripts
This site runs no advertising, no marketing trackers, and no profiling of any kind. It sets no cookie of its own. The only cookie you might ever receive is a short-lived security token, and only if the protection in front of the site challenges your connection first. It exists to save you from being challenged again on every page, and it does not identify or follow you.
The security platform in front of this site adds one small script to every page. It is not analytics. It runs in your browser to distinguish automated traffic from real visitors, which is what keeps the contact form clear of junk. It sets no cookie of its own, does not follow you to any other site, and does not identify you. There is no analytics on this site at all, none of mine and no visitor-counting product from anyone else. Nothing here measures how many people read this page.
The same platform keeps ordinary connection logs, including IP addresses and timestamps, so it can absorb attacks and stay online. Nothing here follows you once you close the tab.
I do not publish the tools behind the work
Delivering a message involves the ordinary plumbing any website uses to move and store mail. Those providers are deliberately not named here. Publishing the exact stack a business runs on is a gift to anyone looking for a way in. If you are evaluating me and your process requires a written list of every service that touches your data, you get it directly as part of that conversation. It does not go on this page.
How long I keep it
If you write to me and we never work together, twelve months. Then it is deleted. An inquiry that went nowhere has nothing to substantiate and no reason to outlive the conversation.
If we do work together, the business records last seven years. That means the contract, the invoices, and the correspondence behind them. Federal tax records can be examined for up to six years, and Ohio allows six years to bring a claim on a written contract. Seven clears both. After that they are deleted, apart from specific records I am separately required by law to hold.
Technical material about your environment is not on that clock. My access to your systems is removed when the engagement ends, inside five business days and confirmed to you in writing. What I hold about how your network is built is kept only as long as the work needs it. Seven years is a tax and contract answer, and it is not a reason for anyone to sit on a map of your infrastructure.
When the law is involved
I never volunteer your information to anyone. The only thing that will move your data is a valid legal order, such as a subpoena or a court order, and then I release the narrowest slice it demands and nothing further.
Who this is for
I work with businesses and public entities in the United States. The contact form is meant for people considering that work or already doing it.
Your say over your own data
You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. I will, apart from the narrow records I am legally required to keep. Because so little is collected, there is rarely much to hand over.
